Traditional assessment platforms typically rely on large banks of manually authored, static questions. Aether starts with the capabilities an organization needs to measure and uses a controlled assessment architecture to generate and deliver assessment experiences aligned to those capabilities. This enables more authentic assessment while reducing the time and effort required to build and maintain traditional item banks.

Not necessarily. Aether can complement existing assessments or support the development of entirely new assessment approaches. Organizations can use Aether where deeper evidence of judgment, reasoning, decision-making, or applied capability is valuable while retaining traditional assessment methods where they remain appropriate.
